Freemind는 무료 마인드맵 프로그램중 단연 으뜸가는 프로그램입니다.
또 처음 마인드맵을 접하고 사용하는 분들에게 제가 많이 추천하는 프로그램입니다.
복잡한 많은 기능 보다는 마인드맵의 기본적인 기능에 충실한 프로그램으로 쉽게 배울 수 있고 활용할 수 있어 좋다고 할까요
현재 가장 최신 버전은 0.9.0 (다운로드) 입니다.
(먼저 컴퓨터에 Java 가 설치되어 있어야 합니다. Java 다운로드 )
메모를 하거나 무언가를 정리할 때 보통 워드나 엑셀같은 프로그램을 쓰는데, 처음에 새 문서를 열고 나서 무엇부터 해야하나 막막한 경험을 해보신 분들 있을 겁니다.
목차부터 해야하나? 아니면 템플릿부터 만들어야 하나? 맘에 드는 폰트부터 설정하는 분들도 있구요
Freemind는 그런 고민들이 거의 필요 없습니다. 그저 두뇌에서 생각나는 컨텐츠들을 자유롭게 펼치기만 하면 되니까요. 마인드맵 자체가 애초에 중앙에서 방사형으로 뻗어가므로 워드처럼 줄을 바꾸고, 줄 간격을 할 필요가 없는 것이 참 마음에 듭니다.
프로그램 역사는 약 5년 정도 되었구요 심플하고 깔끔한게 한번 Freemind에 길들여지면 다른 것들은 복잡해서 적응하기 쉽지 않으니 조심하시기 바랍니다.
기능면에서 살펴보면 우선 마인드맵의 가지들을 꾸미는 아이콘들이 화면의 왼쪽에 있어 클릭만으로 쉽게 붙여넣을 수 있구요.
무엇보다 다른 상용 프로그램들보다 가지를 추가, 삭제 중간 노드를 접고 펴는 등의 반응속도가 엄청 빠릅니다. 그만큼 생각을 펼치는데 다른 걸림돌이 없어 좋다는 말이겠죠
버전이 높아지면서 HTML이나 PDF로 저장하기, 이미지로 저장하기 등의 기능도 갖추고 있고 MS 워드와 대비되는 오픈소스 계열의 '오픈오피스 Writer' 프로그램으 변환도 됩니다.
또, 국산 프로그램은 아니지만 언어설정을 한국어로 할 수 있어 많은 국내 사용자를 확보한 상태이구요
위에서도 간단히 언급하였지만, 마인드맵 프로그램을 처음 사용하시려는 분들에게 마인드맵의 기능만을 쉽고 재미있게 배우고 활용할 수 있는 프로그램이 바로 Freemind 라는 생각이 듭니다.

맨처음 시작하면 가운데 센터에 점 하나 있는데......
한페이지에서 이 센터 점 더 늘릴 수는 없나요..?

전부 한페이지에 하고 싶은데 ..... 윤리에서 가지치자니 너무 복잡하고

아쉽게도 프리마인드는 하나의 맵 파일에 한개의 중심노드만 가능합니다.
그래서 그런 기능을 쓰려면 동양윤리/세계윤리 별로 맵을 만들고 링크를 거는 방법을 쓸 수 있겠네요
